techridy.io is the personal site of Peter Saville, a Linux infrastructure specialist based in Canberra, Australia. The site is also the umbrella for various homelab services and tools.

Background

I work with enterprise Linux environments —

  • RHEL fleet management, automation tooling (Ansible, OpenTofu)
  • system hardening (ACSC Essential Eight compliance)
  • observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • container based environments, Kubernetes
  • cloud infrastructure - OpenStack
  • migration projects, maintaining and uplifting legacy systems
  • business outcome focussed IT operations

Homelab

The infrastructure behind techridy.io runs primarily on a local Proxmox cluster with some services and test environments in the cloud on Linode. Its all brought together with wireguard via Tailscale connected services and Authelia for a protected and secure production environment.

It’s both a testbed for new tools and experimentation as well as the actual production environment for various small services I utilise.

Tools and services hosted under techridy.io subdomains include:

  • ttyd.techridy.io — browser-based terminal access
  • kasm.techridy.io — virtual desktop (coming soon)
  • auth.techridy.io — authentication portal (Authelia)
